Daily Candy, a company owned by NBC Universal, wanted to create an app as an extension to their online property. Users could subscribe to their favorite cities to receive curated content such as articles, fashion tips, restaurant recommendations, and local events. Users could also "scout" their favorite outfits and food recommendations—uploadable, user-generated content.

Moderated User-Generated Content

I created a module on Phunware's platform to help Daily Candy hold contests and challenges, give away prizes, and engage their users in ways they had never before been able to. This was the precursor to Phunware's Mobile CMS (part of their MaaS Platform)

A key element of this system was content moderation. Daily Candy content moderators could easily and quickly flag content to be hidden from the platform. Moderators could also comment on posts when dealing with contests and give-aways.
